Pastor Stan Collins was born the youngest of eight children to Willie and Elaine Collins in Hartford, CT on December 10, 1961. At an early age, he attended the Mt. Olive Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. Dr. Richard A. Battles. He was baptized at the age of 9 and began serving in the youth choir and junior missionary society.

It was at the age of 13 that he gave his life to the Lord. He then transitioned to the Mt. Moriah Baptist Church under the guidance of Pastor Wayne A. Carter where he began to direct the young Adult & Mass Choirs of the church.

He preached his initial sermon in January of 1989. He enrolled in the Black Ministries Certificate Program at the Hartford Seminary where he studied various aspects of preaching and church administration.

In 1990 he relocated to Los Angeles, Ca, where he and his wife united with Universal Truth Christian Fellowship, under the leadership of Bishop Alfred L. Smart and served as worship leader, choir director, trustee, and as a help to the Pastor in whatever capacity he was needed. In 1995 Minister Collins formed a community choir made up of various singers from different churches in the Antelope Valley called the A.V. Interdenominational Crusade Choir. This singing ministry lasted over 5 years and has performed in concert and various venues throughout the valley and greater Los Angeles area. In 1998 He was ordained an elder of Universal Truth Christian Fellowship.
In the year 2000 they held a reunion recording along with his current group, “God’s Forgiven.” In 2001, he and his family united with the West Palmdale Christian Church under the leadership of Dr. John H. Paxton, where he served as the minister of music and assisted in Discipleship and Training at the church. In July of 2005, the Lord gave him the charge to begin pastoring what is now Spirit & Truth Deliverance Tabernacle.
